Position Summary

The Supervisor Warranty Programs oversees the Technical Operations warranty processes to achieve the maximum warranty recovery or cost avoidance. The Supervisor oversees all claims for compensation related to workmanship or damages and their timely submission to Business Partners, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Insurance Providers. The Supervisor also oversees the management of warranty entitlements during the aircraft warranty period, as well as discount programs and purchase credit arrangements with Service Providers and Part Suppliers. The Supervisor also manages Special Programs that pertain to the procurement, coordination and performance of Maintenance Repair and Operator (MRO) services for Technical Operations. This position interacts with Business Partners and Crewmembers to achieve high quality Services, on-time delivery and low Cost per Available Seat Mile (CASM) maintenance costs.

Essential Responsibilities
• * Oversee and ensure warranty recovery and cost avoidance in accordance with Service Agreements and departmental goals. This includes warranty from OEMs and MROs for defective parts and workmanship.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify trends in warranty and introduce solutions.
• Create and lead the Warranty & Program team, working closely with the Repairs and Technical Purchasing teams.
• Coach, develop and train Crewmembers with a focus on structured processes, continuous improvement, and career path development.
• Liaise with Crewmembers across Technical Operations and other JetBlue Departments, in particular Risk, Finance, Accounting and Legal.
• Maintain a process to identify, assess, execute and track cost savings initiatives that reduce JetBlue CASM, including processes that speed up shop repairs and minimize “over and above” and “out of scope” costs.
• Assist in management of Repair agreements to ensure Business Partners perform at contract defined levels of service. Ensure all JetBlue contractual entitlements are obtained, including discounts, exchanges, loaners and Beyond Economical Repair (BER) replacements, as applicable.
• Partner with Repairs, Technical Purchasing and Material Planning to implement a strategy to repair, scrap, or retire components that will minimize CASM. Perform work in warehouse environment to assess and disposition parts removed from aircraft.
• Analyze data and provide reports for Actual Days Open (ADO), On time delivery (OTD), no fault found (NFF) and other process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate repair shop Technical Investigations and provide shop data to Engineering for their assessment of suspected Rogue Components. Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to reduce shop visit NFF rates and “Bad from Stock” events.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as requested by leadership.
• Provide guidance to the budget process. Support monthly Accounting reviews, and timely approval of quotes and invoices where applicable.
• Provide backup support to Supervisor Repairs and Manager, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
• * High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• Three (3) years’ aviation experience in maintenance, materiel operations or supply chain
• One (1) year of experience in a program management or supervisory role
• Knowledge of aircraft technical material management
• Knowledge of aircraft, engines and components repair processes
• Knowledge of Tech Ops Maintenance costs, budgeting, and trend analysis
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
• Ability to take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, goal achievement
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
• Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
• * Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Aviation discipline
• Five (5) years of Repair and/or Warranty experience
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) preferred
• Experience working with MRO providers
• Experience managing aircraft component repair process
• Experience managing warranty process
• Knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering database systems (such as TRAX)
• Business knowledge and data analysis around corporate finance, cost accounting, asset management, accounts payable, forecasting and trend analysis
• Project management
• Process development and leading a team of Crewmembers

• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

• Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
• Upholding JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Physical Effort:
• Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light)

Compensation:
• The base pay range for this position is between $64,000 and $103,100 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
