In this role, you will lead a team of software engineers who build and maintain microservices and features within Lifion by ADP’s human capital management platform to help our customers save time, stay compliant, and manage their workforce. No two days are alike. You will spend your time checking in with your team, stateside or abroad. You will facilitate the team’s work through coaching and guidance and provide leadership with realistic expectations and deadlines. You will be the final set of eyes to review code for quarterly initiatives and manage ad-hoc requests as they arise. You’ll be accountable for something significant: the uncompromising quality of products that impact people’s lives.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of software development at scale, including knowledge of functional programming, JavaScript, cloud services, relational databases, Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB, Aurora, Kinesis, SQS, and microservice architectures. In addition, you will also need good understanding of Regression and Automated testing framework for UI/Backend testing. You will ensure team development and maintenance of key test automation assets for specific areas of the application and offering functional support to team members and other teams. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will keep the team informed of company-wide initiatives and leaders comfortable with the team’s progress. Team collaboration and exchange of ideas are central to projects here. You will be a role model for motivating yourself and the team to maintain positive momentum and energy. Pace does not scare you. Everyone can lose the big picture from time to time, but you’re the team leader who helps everyone find it again and deliver.
Requirements:
• You have 10 plus years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
• Hands on experience with node js or programming languages like GO, java,c#, ruby, python; backend workflows and ETL systems; Kafka and messaging will give you extra comfort in this role to be successful.
• Experience building Human Capital Management, Business Process Management or Enterprise resource management tools.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Web Standards, Web Services
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience in automation testing specifically in BDD or TDD methodologies.
• Experience coordinating various technical groups for dependency and roadmap alignment.
• Experience in startup or high growth technology environments.
• Experience with mobile, desktop, UI and accessibility related testing
• Familiarity in HCM, Payroll domain is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of automating dynamic web applications
• You’ll have a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent.

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
