REI is seeking an Associate to join its Committee Reporting, Internal Compliance and Operations (RICO) team. The position works closely with all REI business areas and Senior Management, as well as in-house counsel, NYL Investors’ Compliance, several New York Life Insurance Company Corporate groups and third parties. The position includes the various RICO-related responsibilities and initiatives described below, as well as the participation in various departmental and divisional initiatives. The position will report to a senior member of the RICO Division team.

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with RICO Division coworkers and colleagues across the organization in fulfilling REI’s Corporate obligations, related to:
• Records Management, consisting of serving as the RICO Division’s Records Representative, maintaining the RE Share All and Archive RESA folders on REI’s shared network drive, and uploading documentation to the REI Reference Library,
• Corporate Audit and Compliance Review assistance, such as collecting and submitting the required documentation for the 1Q and 3Q Audit reports, and
• Business Resilience, including supporting REI’s planning and participation in recovery exercises, as needed.

Participate in REI’s employee on/off-boarding and internal move process, including:
• Arrange with Technology for equipment (laptop, monitors, telephone),
• Insure/remove access and coordinate any required licenses to the appropriate REI systems and applications, shared drives, and folders, as well as REI’s intranet space (The Square Foot),
• Maintain REI’s organizational chart, email distribution lists and floor plan, and
• Post the new hired prepared “Welcome video” on The Square Foot.

Facilitate REI’s internal and external communications functions, including:
• Support REI’s transactional press release process and review of related materials,
• Respond to ad hoc communications related requests, and
• Assist with content management on REI’s intranet space.

Advance RICO-related responsibilities and initiatives as needed, including:
• Support Committee and related internal and external reporting functions, as needed,
• Review and approve activities in connection with the administration of third-party client bank
• accounts, and
• Manage REI trade association memberships, subscriptions, and other departmental expenses by
• reviewing and processing the related payments (PCard).

Required Skills
• Efficient, conscientious, follows directions and assumes accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work product.
• Able to manage multiple simultaneous assignments, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and effectively respond to changes in workflow, priorities, and workload.
• Capable independent worker, as well as a team player, with excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Excellent technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude to learn new systems/applications such as MyAccess.

Salary range: $67,500-$102,500

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No
