Job Description Summary
Opportunity to support the growth and development of the Commercial Audit practice in the New York market. Ideal candidate will thrive on opportunity to “take ownership” of growing and managing their portfolio within the market.
Lead all phases of audit process. Develop a thorough assessment and understanding of client’s business needs and objectives and integrate a deep understanding of a professional services environment to achieve desired results. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards. Function as an industry leader through the establishment of a professional reputation and network. Ensure that quality assurance standards for business line are being practiced while providing client service. Work within budgetary and time constraints while providing high-level client satisfaction and audit quality. Ensure that deliverables are prepared accurately. Anticipate and address client concerns and identifying problems as they arise. Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in allowable extended services to existing clients. Develop managers and staff and serves as a role model, providing mentoring, and training to staff members. Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Actively participate in the execution of the firm’s Commercial Audit growth strategy, specific to the NY market,
• Being committed to serving the profession and our role in the capital markets in maintaining the highest level of audit quality
• Responsibility for upholding high ethical standards and adhering to independence standards
• Support the development of the Commercial audit team to serve the New York market
• Developing a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and staying abreast of issues that might affect your client
• Maintaining positive, professional relations with staff and clients
• Provide exceptional client experience
Partners in the Commercial Assurance area should have experience or be capable of performing in the following area:
• Have or be able to quickly build network of business contacts and referral sources in the New York market.
• Help build a dedicated and motivated team of professionals to accomplish the vision and strategy and to position Crowe as a leader in assurance services to these market segments.
• Develop new client relationships and lead all aspects of an audit engagement.
• Working in a team environment as a leader of a group within a larger organization.
Background and Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant
• 15+ years of experience in public accounting
• Established expertise with one or more industry verticals such as technology, government contracting, commercial real estate, construction, healthcare, manufacturing & distribution or other industries relevant to the New York region.
• Significant SEC public company experience and or private equity experience preferred
• Dynamic leadership and teambuilding experience
• Strategic and organizational planning experience
• Innovation mindset; forward thinking
• Communications, sales and marketing experience
• Experience working in the audit practice of a Big 4 firm, a national CPA firm, a large regional accounting firm, or a mid-size firm with strong Commercial client base
• Ability to cross-sell firm services to existing client base
