Job Description

Mast-Jägermeister US, a leading company in the spirits industry, is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team. This position will work closely with the legal and compliance departments to ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

As a Compliance Manager at Mast-Jägermeister US, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all state and federal regulations related to the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages. You will also assist the legal team with research and preparation of legal documents, as well as help manage the company’s contracts and corporate governance processes.

The ideal candidate for this position has a background in legal regulation and compliance work and a strong understanding of the spirits industry associated with manufacturing and distribution. They are team-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, as this position requires working closely with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with state and federal alcohol regulations.
• Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory filings including federal and state licenses and permits.
• Manage the organization’s Certificates of Label Approval filing and tracking system (COLA’s).
• Conduct research on legal and regulatory topics as needed.
• Review contracts for compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate and participate in compliance training programs for employees.
• Assist with corporate governance processes, such as board meetings and annual reports.
• Provide support in responding to external audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with brand standards and guidelines.
• Assist with the preparation of legal documents and filings.
• Maintain and organize legal files and databases.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Paralegal certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a legal or compliance role.
• Strong understanding of state and federal alcohol regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
