About the Role
As the Concept Designer for Women’s you will be responsible to develop overarching seasonal big trend ideas in color, pattern, and silhouette, along with Macro big picture influences, and create digital documents that will inspire and instruct the women’s design team.
What You’ll Do
• Research across all areas of fashion and social media to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspiration.
• Set strategic direction for product area and team
• Research global markets in order to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspiration
• Develop concepts for product line and advocate for design ideas by presenting to internal leadership and cross functional partners
• Pull Seasonal Color, Pattern and Silhouette Trends
• Identify Macro Influences for each season
• Help to identify new ideas for chase product in each season
• Build seasonal runway reports and weekly street style reports
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines
• Possess an elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color and understand how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter
Who You Are
• Thorough knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color use, and pattern
• Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Photoshop
