Job Description

Our client is looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development for their NYC, NY location who will be responsible for leading and executing strategy to achieve/exceed assigned revenue growth goals. The right Director of Sales and Business Development will achieve this through the identification, development, and closure of strategic opportunities within target accounts. As a company brand ambassador, the Director of Sales will be a hands-on, energetic business developer, comfortable with the security subject matter associated with high consequence threats and managing the process through contract execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize base of security subject matter expertise and experience to engage with qualified prospects and assist them to conduct the project scoping and business arrangements necessary to meet/exceed their security objectives.
• Develop and manage relationships with strategic clients and prospects to ensure they are delighted with our services and view organization as a “client focused”, highly professional “go-to” organization for their specialized security needs.
• Bring accounts with a mix of existing, high potential accounts, as well as accounts that the BD leader will identify and target within selected verticals.
• Manage client and industry relationships such that they provide referrals and additional business opportunities. Build “Trusted Advisor” relationships.
• Collaborate and engage withing the organization to find leads and opportunities for organizations within the greater client portfolio (cross-sell)
• Manage and develop response to unsolicited sales inquiries and referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field of study
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience, preferably New York Police Department
• Experience in managing client and business development relationships.
• Work history to include demonstration of:
• The ability to model strong oral, written business communication skills.
• Ability to navigate through complex negotiations at the executive level.
• Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of the demographics of local market
• Working understanding of the business development process, including the creation and execution of a personalized plan to achieve assigned goals, basic understanding of the deal management and forecasting process.
• Ability to delegate projects and tasks to team members, and effectively manage the procedural aspects until completion.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel

SALARY & BENEFITS
• $120,000 to $125,000 per year.
• Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance, 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements
• 8 paid holidays annually, 5 sick days, and 4 personal days, Vacation time, accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
