DAY

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position serves as a member of the Commercial Marketing management team (division of Merit Oncology) driving sales and market development for a specific product line.

Under management direction, this position will be responsible for working with Merit’s direct and distributor sales channels and the respective Vice Presidents of Sales, Regional Management, Sales Representatives, and Clinical Education Specialists to build a winning growth strategy.

This position will be responsible for leading KOL development, workshops, marketing strategies, channel optimization efforts, sales and profit growth, and identifying growth opportunities.

Looking for candidates anywhere in the Eastern US close to a major airport. Prefer candidates who live in Chicago, NY, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Charlotte, Washington DC/Baltimore, Cleveland or Nashville areas.

Requires 30% – 50% travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Create and execute a growth strategy in cooperation with divisional sales leadership based on a plan approved by management. This includes identification of priority growth markets, development and execution of marketing strategies, salesforce and distributor training and coaching, along with KOL Development in key markets.

2. Work collaboratively across functions including Commercial & Platform Marketing, Sales, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs.

3. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with medical experts in both academic and community settings.

4. Establish training programs primarily in the US, various countries as needed to facilitate training and adoption of products and therapies.

5. In-field and remote sales force product knowledge/skill development. Maintains regular cadence of key customer visits to ensure customer needs are identified and addressed.

6. Achieve or exceed sales growth targets and profitability objectives annually.

7. Monitor market trends and activities and respond accordingly.

8. Develop marketing campaigns, strategies, and tactics.

9. Identify and develop strategy to enter new and emerging markets, while creating a winning growth strategy to deliver long term, sustainable returns in existing markets.

10. Create and execute product launches, training, and growth strategies for existing and new products.

11. Develop sales and clinical training and provide internal training to Merit personnel.

12. Represent Merit at specific continuing-education events/programs/congresses.

13. Facilitate and establish research opportunities between Merit and clinical investigators. 14. Provide sales force with training tailored to levels of expertise.

15. Utilize scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings.

16. Understand and be able to operate within appropriate legal and regulatory guidelines.

17. Conduct presentations on growth strategies in small or large settings.

18. Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by management.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education and/or business experience equivalent to a related Bachelor’s Degree.
• A minimum of seven years of marketing and/or sales experience, with four of those years in a management position.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze feedback in a training environment to develop strategies to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• A thorough understanding of training and development techniques.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate large programs.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Non-vascular therapies industry experience strongly preferred.
• Medical product sales and marketing experience in non-vascular therapies.
