Job Summary:

The Intermediate Cook is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in food preparation, cooking and presentation, and additionally oversee food preparation and service for a meal shift and/or banquets within a large restaurant operation.

• Expected Pay Range: $21.00 – $23.26 / hour
• Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Skill Level: Intermediate

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Understand and ability to operate restaurant cooking equipment
• Able to read, understand and follow recipes accurately and to the specifications of the Chef and ormanager
• Consistently checks temperatures of food and follow proper procedures in regards to chilling, re-heating and holding food in accordance with health and safety standards
• Responsible for basic food preparation tasks, such as cutting meat and fish, basic knife handlingskills, peeling, slicing, chopping measuring and mixing ingredients
• Responsible for ensuring food is prepared and presented at a high level of quality, visual appeal andconsistency
• Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, counters, etc. in accordance with health and safety standards
• Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with front of house staff
• Functions as experienced cook with the ability to manage a station or multiple stations
• Responsible for production of own station and willing to support entry level cooks on their stations
• Advises higher level Cooks and/or Managers of anticipated problems
• Inspects food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safety and sanitary foodhandling practices.
• May be required to work in other F&B outlets throughout the resort when needed
• Assist in sanitation of all Food Service areas in accordance to COVID19 safe operating guide lines
• Some dish washing may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or prior experience preferred
• A minimum of two years professional cooking experience
• ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Able to speak, read and communicate in English
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Must have the ability to follow directions
• Must have reliable transportation

The expected pay range is $21.00 – $23.26. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
