Maintenance Worker II – Evenings

In this role you will be responsible for a variety of troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and routine maintenance duties related to the entire facility. Utilize your expertise in firestopping installation and inspection throughout the hospital. Performs tasks associated with maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general construction components and systems including changing filters on systems, changing belts on rotating equipment, changing final filters such as HEPA, etc. Performs minor repairs of masonry, plaster, tile, paint and partitions; glues, nails, and repairs damaged parts and installs shelving. Changes lamps & maintains lighting, replaces ballast as required and resets breakers. Maintains shops and equipment rooms in safe and clean condition.

This is a full time evening position (4:00pm to 12:00 am) including 1 day during the weekend and 4 days during the week. This position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria
• Valid Drivers License

Required Criteria
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of general maintenance experience

$30.61-$33.49/Hourly
