Job Overview:
The Corporate Development team is seeking to hire an Associate to play a pivotal role in supporting and leading strategic transactions and acquisitions for our organization. The successful candidate will aid in driving the lifecycle of deals, from initial evaluation through post-acquisition analysis. By collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, you will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization. The team is looking to hire this role in either our Boston, Chicago or New York office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transaction Leadership and Management: Support specific transactions and acquisitions, participating in all stages including initial evaluation, indication of interest (IOI), financial modeling, letter of intent (LOI), due diligence, approvals, post-acquisition analysis, and more.
• Financial Projections and Analysis: Responsible for developing financial projections for potential transactions. Conduct detailed financial analysis, create comprehensive pro forma financial models, perform valuation analysis, and develop synergy models to support decision-making on potential transactions.
• Strategic Alignment: Work alongside business leaders to assess strategic priorities and identify suitable M&A targets aligned with the organization’s goals.
• Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a comprehensive and user-friendly view of the target pipeline. Organize chronological activities, compile pertinent documentation, and manage the flow of information to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborative Deal Execution: Collaborate closely with sponsored businesses from Oliver Wyman and MMC, internal experts (e.g., legal, finance), and external advisors to ensure seamless deal execution.
• Process Enhancement: Optimize corporate development processes to meet the needs of MMC, OWG, and deal sponsors. For example, playbook development
• Post-Acquisition Integration: Provide active assistance and support in post-acquisition integration efforts, ensuring cross-functional teams effectively execute their M&A integration plans.
• Presentation and Communications: Develop and deliver high-quality presentation materials and reports to practice leaders and senior management.
• Other ad-hoc projects and activities as required.
Personal Specification:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 4+ years of strategy consulting experience preferably in M&A, deal advisory, corporate development, or valuation advisory
• Availability to travel
Skills and Attributes:
• Strategic thinker with a track record of strategy projects (growth/market-entry strategy, competitive context and assessment, business evaluation, etc.) ideally in the context of “strategic due diligence” for clients and PE firms
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and vocal
• Strong intellectual, strategic, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong analytical skills (including financial modelling ability), research skills (including market and competitor analysis), and time / process management skills

The applicable base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
