HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Skip Hop, a consumer products company bringing ‘must haves made better’ to life, is seeking a Planner to manage select accounts for its North America Wholesale business. The Planner role is a key business partner on the supply chain team in developing and executing strategic plans for select North American Wholesale customers. This role is responsible for delivering a highly reliable forecast and driving speed to insights in order to deliver the best service to our wholesale customers. This candidate has a can-do analytical mindset and should possess an understanding of statistical forecasting methods, with prior experience in historical data cleansing and applying best-fit models to optimize forecast accuracy across varying demand seasonality and volatility.

This role typical reports into Sr. Director of Planning and is based in our New York office in a hybrid work environment.

60%: Developing Plans and Analyzing Business
• Develop, execute, and communicate strategic financial plans that support merchandising, marketing, and financial objectives for assigned accounts
• Collaborate with sales team on pre-season plans, line structure, and SKU replacement strategy. Develop plans to grow key categories using bottom-up sales analysis and present financial proposals to customers
• Create and update item level ladder plans / forecasts for brand portfolio comprising of 500+ finished goods SKUS for assigned accounts
• Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, develop statistical analysis of market trends, perform promo and event related analysis
• Track new product performance against forecasts to determine areas of opportunity and risks for sales, planning and merchandising

30%: Plan Management
• Manage in-season business to maximize sales, margin, and inventory. Support business reviews with account executives, planners and customers. Recommend actions to correct variance to plan
• Attending incoming supply review meetings to understand and communicate risks to demand and orders, cascading information down to sales partners
• Monitor and review end of season customer performance and profitability to suggest actions to improve assortment and strategy for following year

10%: Process Improvement and Reporting
• Identify system enhancements to item level ladder tool that will drive efficiencies and increase quality of outputs
• Be a catalyst of continuous improvement in processes and business results, continually strive to improve quality of information, analytical techniques, and systems
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot reporting tools in Tableau and MicroStrategy to drive efficiencies in day-to-day workload

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

Must have:
• Strong business acumen and understanding of replenishment ladder planning, financial budgeting, retail and wholesale fundamentals, and statistical forecasting systems and technology
• Analytical / genuine curiosity – ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, demonstrated ability to quickly manipulate large raw data sets to produce reporting/analysis that is intuitive and easy to read/understand, advanced formulas and pivot tables etc.
• Team Player, proficient in developing strong relationships with all levels of the business

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• 4+ years of planning/forecasting experience preferably with replenishment durables business experience
• Desire to have a tangible business impact, ‘hands-on’ approach working in a fast-growing, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication – ability to lead courageously – not afraid to speak frankly, offer new ideas, take calculated risks, and support positive change
• Ability to synthesize and communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to peers and senior leadership, strong communication and presentation skills
• Creative and customer focused; ability to develop practical yet innovative solutions
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to 120,000 based on experience.
