As the Program Director for Jacobs Cities & Places you will be charged with leading and mentoring a highly qualified multidisciplinary team , interacting directly with our client to develop and deliver technical solutions.
You will partner with business unit and sales leaders to drive our overall strategy and deliver exceptional growth. You will leverage your strong client and partner relationships, as well as lead with our Jacobs culture of inclusion, diversity, collaboration and innovation to attract, motivate and retain top talent across the globe.
You’ll join a team of experts in our Cities & Places Sport & Entertainment business and will deliver challenging programs while serving clients and communities
You’ll also be instrumental in the growth and development of our Sport & Entertainment business strategy and contribute immediately to our success. We’ll ask you to leverage your expertise to help us continue building our skills, knowledge, and resources to win and deliver complex programs. Your client and industry relationships will help us serve new clients, win new work, and position for upcoming opportunities. You’ll effectively lead and manage program teams throughout all phases of planning, execution, and closeout; consistent with both innovative and established program delivery models to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other contractual requirements.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing:
· Clarify the program’s vision and strategy and ensurethe efforts of the team are prioritized to achieve the desired results and outcomes.
· Manage external client and stakeholders, as well asinternal staff, to complete work on-time and within budget, including interfacing with teams working on other related programs/projects
· Coordinate and/or oversee design, construction, and readiness activities with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
· Oversee interdisciplinary teams and provide review and guidance during development of deliverables
· When necessary, coordinate with regulatory agencies and serve as a liaison between clients and other agencies
· Mentor and lead other staff while creating an environment in which innovation and differences are openly shared, embraced, and incorporated into the team’s activities
· Assist with proposal development and participate in interviews and presentations
· Participate in the Jacobs growth process and work collaboratively with Sales teams
· Take an active role and participate in industry trade organizations, including presentation of papers, publications, and serving on select committees
· Partner with the global Program Management team on leadership best practices

Here’s What You’ll Need:
· Relevant degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering,Construction Management, Business or related field; Master’s degree a plus
· Strong leadership skills with ability to relate totechnical staff and external clients
· Ability to articulate a clear vision and build cohesive teams, and provide excellent social, networking, and presentation skills
· Experience working on at least one Olympic/ Paralympic Games in a management position.
· Experience working in a leadership position on a major World event (World Cup/ World Expo/ Olympics & Paralympics)
· Experience managing consultants, contractors, and senior managers
· Experience with planning/scheduling, budgeting, and risk management concepts and tools
· The ability to help market and win work for privateand public clients
· Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple mega-event programs
· Proven ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team
· Ability to articulate complex concepts and demonstrate extensive experience in partnership-building, agency coordination planning, and program experience
· Flexibility to serve large and complex programs and clients across the United States
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
· Registered Professional License, PE, Architect, PMP, PgMP and/or equivalent
· Experience in multiple management/ leadership positions on Mass Events / Major Games – i.e., World Cup, Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Pan Am games, European Championships)
· Ability to serve as the leader/liaison between the client, partners, constructors and design teams
· Experience with program governance and a variety of program management organizational models
· Previous work experience navigating local, state, and federal permitting agencies and requirements
· Experience collaborating with stakeholders and regulators and communities

The base salary range for this position is $275k to $350k and may fluctuate depending upon skills, experience, work location and additional factors, including relevant education and training.
