Title – Program Manager-III (Data)

Duration: 12 months
Essential Requirements and Experience:
Functional Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM/SCM) certification preferred.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Project Management within the Insurance/Finance Industry preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, independent thinking, and ability to exercise prudent judgment.
Technical Expertise
• Requires in-depth expertise in Project Management knowledge and competencies.
• Skilled in project software: SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office, and Visio.
• Knowledge of Agile tools such as JIRA preferred.
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of products sold (Long Term Care products are a plus) and underwriting processes within the life insurance industry to interpret business requirements and goals.
• Ability to build reports and presentations with appropriate details for varying audiences.
Leadership
• Ability to enable self-organizing/managing teams to achieve its goals by teaching and coaching the agile process, implementing and supporting lean agile principles and practices, identifying and eliminating impediments, and facilitating flow.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and work effectively both independently, and as a collaborative team player.
• Ability to hit the ground running and quickly begin contributing to the projects/workstreams’ delivery.
• Ability to understand the corpo* and business area culture/dynamics and pro-actively/quickly adapt to them.
• Demonst*d ability to work well across organizations and with cross-functional teams.
• Strong negotiation, organization, time management, and Project Management skills are required as there will be multiple project assignments to balance at any given time.
• Displays passion for their work and has ability to engage and energize others.
• Builds the project team and creates collaboration and cohesiveness amongst all team members while supplying motivation and feedback.
Communication Requirements
• Adeptly communicates, persuades, and negotiates with others to build consensus across the teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills as position will engage with management, key stakeholders, and business partners.
• Ability to lead teams in a results-oriented and collaborative manner.
• Highly skilled in communicating clearly and concisely and at the right level of detail for the intended audience.
• Prepares communications regarding project direction, decisions, issues, risks, and status for management.
