Job Overview

In this role, you will lead the planning and implementation of all media and media partnerships for Amgen’s US Oncology division. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the commercial success of Amgen’s US Business through effective media strategies. You will manage Amgen’s paid media investment for Consumer and HCP Oncology advertising, partnering with cross-functional teams and external partners. Reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Global Media, you will also manage a team of media experts.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $176,400 – $215,600

Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative multi-channel consumer media plans, including strategic partnerships
• Collaborate closely with brand teams to understand brand strategy and execute media plans accordingly
• Manage media agencies and ensure highest standards of performance
• Develop metrics for media mix and effectiveness, linking to brand success metrics
• Optimize media plans based on insights and metrics
• Lead the realization of media partnerships and improve return on investment
• Lead team through all aspects of media planning, buying, and measurement/optimization
• Travel up to 20% domestically to visit agencies/Amgen headquarters

Requirements
• Doctorate degree and 4 years of media and/or marketing experience, or
• Masters degree and 8 years of media and/or marketing experience, or
• Bachelors degree and 10 years of media and/or marketing experience
• 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources
• Strong expertise in media targeting, segmentation, multi-channel media plan development, measurement, and optimization
• Experience in both traditional/linear/TV and digital channels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Comfortable working within a matrixed organization
• Experience in working with creative or media agencies
