The New York, New Jersey, Tampa, Atlanta and Minneapolis offices are seeking a Regional Staff Accountant with legal experience. The Regional Staff Accountant assists the Accounting Team with regional Trust Accounts, bank reconciliation, annual reviews/audits, Accounts Payable processing, corporate activities, rent processing, general project accounting, communication and documentation of department processes. This position will assist with budgeting, special projects, trust GL transaction review, treasury activities, business licenses and tax accounting registrations for new offices, help file monthly/quarterly tax with states, property tax bills, Sales/Use tax, unclaimed property compliance and research, initiate EFT transactions, financial analysis, systems conversion projects and other activities in support of CFO.
Responsibilities
Job Specifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• 3 – 4 years’ experience in accounting, account balancing, and reconciliation.
• Law firm experience a plus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter that can work well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
• 10-key speed required
• Experience with large professional organizations or large law firm financial systems such as Aderant Expert/Elite, Chrome River helpful, but not required.
