We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Resident Engineer * * in Maspeth , NY , who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. In this role, you’ll perform traditional Construction Administration / Resident Engineering functions for process conformance with approved construction documents including but not limited to the project contract, specifications, quality control plan, safety plans, schedule, request for information (RFIs), change orders, pay requests, record drawings, commissioning, and contract closeout.

We’ll ask you to actively manage and report on the status of the project schedule and budget. Monitor and document contract progress and make recommendations to the client for contractor payments, change orders, and requests for information (RFIs). You’ll conduct site meetings, coordinate, and oversee field activities for testing and inspection reviews as well as participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost control, schedule control, change management, risk management and performance.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager
• Extensive knowledge of contract development and contract management principles to include, design review, and contract testing
• Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building for uninterrupted operations on an occupied building
• Experience with masonry and roof systems repairs and replacement, as well as typical interior finishes

Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Registration as a Professional (PE)

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ​
