Senior Dotnet developer – Cognizant Technology Solutions

Job Description

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Dotnet developer to develop customized product for our client teams. The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.

Note: Resource will work at offices in New York, NY (No remote)

Role and Responsibilities:
Design and implement fixes to vulnerabilities identified in C#.net, ASP. Net application code and SQL Server scripts (the vulnerabilities are identified using a static code scan tool – CAST)
Able to re-write existing c#.net,asp.net code to make it more efficient, secure and scalable.
Prepare and Execute unit test cases to validate the code changes and fix any unit test defects.
Fix defects identified during the acceptance testing.
Collaborate with Azure dev ops team and cloud services team to resolve build and deployment issues.
Collaborate with the DBAs to fix issues in database scripts.

Must have:
8+ years of experience in Dotnet technologies
Expertise in C#.Net, Asp.Net, .NET Core, Web Api, WCF services, Ado. Net and SQL Server is mandatory.
Should have very good knowledge in Object Oriented Programming
Should have experience in refining application code to fix existing issues related to security, efficiency and scalability.
Must have excellent communication skills.

Good to have:
Experience in any static code scan tools like CAST, Checkmarx or soar cube is good to have.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $109,827 to $122,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
