• Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be checking in with a team in India one minute, meeting with leadership to review initiatives for the coming quarter later and tomorrow handling a few ad hoc requests from your peers in other departments.
• Influence and inspire confidence. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with a compelling voice that you demonstrate through executive presence, leading change, and creating clear executive-level communications on milestone achievements.

• Responsibilities. Application development including performance, scalability, security, data architecture and reliability engineering. Design large scale software solution architectures in by following SRE practices. Perform micro-services, polyglot development approaches, and client-side applications. Gather and develop software, infrastructure requirements and provide recommendations that meet business needs in alignment with ADP’s standards and strategic direction. Participate in code reviews, architecture and production review assessments while mentoring and assisting junior team members. Participate with development teams in the software development life cycle (SDLC) while developing cloud native scalable architecture solutions. Provide feedback on software product release cycles, while defining the implementation and test procedures for applications as well for the support infrastructure this includes (logging, tracing, error budgets. SLI/SLO. Develop and deploy Performance testing framework to identify application bottlenecks and reduce mean time to recover (MTTR) of the Lifion product. Improve infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring throughout Lifion. Leverage cloud native technologies to expand current infrastructure and processes. Work with business leadership and project management to understand priorities and create automation accordingly. Create and maintain a resiliency roadmap of architectural enhancements according to the Business’ requirements around Application availability and performance.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
• Education and Experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus eight (8) years of experience. Employer will also accept a master’s degree and six (6) years of related experience.
• Work Experience. Three (3) Years of Experience must include: Full stack development experience with NodeJS and Python; Architecting with AWS technologies; MySQL Relational Database; Monitoring and pipeline analysis tools; Architecting and implementing microservices using cloud native technologies; Performance Testing implementation of JMeter and Locust; Infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation; Automation Testing implementation using framework such as Selenium and Cypress.
• Travel Requirement. 10% travel required.

The US base salary range targeted for this job is listed in the compensation section below. Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. Salary Range: $235,040 to $349,800 / year
