About this opportunity ….
The Sr. Analyst of Forecasting and Analytics will assist in product / location demand forecasting and will be responsible for system administration and execution tasks. Execute forecast system change recommendations based on analysis of sales history, trends, seasonality. Utilize reporting, dashboards, and analytics to monitor processes and automated logic to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions. Work closely with cross functional partners to investigate problems and develop recommendations.
The base salary range for this role is $95,000 – $120,000. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
Responsibilities …
• Apply forecasting software tools to maintain parameters and approve forecasts
• Gather and summarize large amounts of data from various sources to perform root cause analysis
• Analyze business problems and recommend analytical solutions. Design plans/processes to execute these solutions
• Recommend and develop forecasting settings that best fit product type and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc reporting requests. Communications to include observations/action plans, risks, and opportunities
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to communicate deadlines, understand issues and explain findings
• Support leadership in the and release of on-time monthly and seasonal forecasts to support business needs
• Prioritizes tasks, takes responsibility for results, and uses escalation paths as needed
• Leverage Power BI and other reporting and data visualization tools to present dashboards and analyze data in support of demand planning and forecasting
• Communicate clear directions and assist other analysts on the team as needed
Who you are …
• You have a 4-year bachelor’s degree required; in statistics, analytics, economics, data science or comparable preferred
• You have 5 years of retail demand forecasting and planning experience. Experience leveraging mathematical forecasting preferred
• You have experience with statistical software and data visualization required. Tools such as R, Tableau, and Power BI preferred.
• You have advanced Excel knowledge
• You have experience using forecasting software preferred
• You have strong analytical skills, both mathematical and problem solving
• You can demonstrate decision making skills
• You have a strong verbal and written communication
• You have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment; be flexible to the changing needs of the business
