Sr BI Data Architect – Data Strategy & Enablement

The Senior Business Intelligence Data Architect – Data Strategy & Enablement will be responsible for the design, build, implementation, and governance of a robust data strategy for Enterprise-wide analytics programs. This individual will be a leader within the Data Strategy and Enablement team, with the goal of developing a sound data framework on which the organization can confidently derive analytic insights and foster a data-driven culture.

To ensure an effective data enablement strategy, key responsibilities will include partnering closely with a variety of analytics consumers and business stakeholders to model data sources and develop a suite of tools including scalable foundational tables, data marts, and dashboards/analyses. Other responsibilities will include documentation and optimization of the data processes and products to enable the responsible consumption of data and continually build upon analytics assets. The architect will serve as a trusted analytics partner in key clinical, operational, and financial projects across the NewYork-Presbyterian enterprise.

This position is part of the central NYP Analytics team with broad exposure to systems such as the Epic platform, along with clinical workflow and business processes. The position will also partner closely with our medical school affiliated institutions. Key partners include clinicians, project managers, analysts, and developers of various domain expertise.

Required Criteria
• 8 + years of experience in data warehousing with designing multi-layered data warehouses and data marts using both relational and dimensional modeling techniques
• 8+ years of experience in integrating data both at logical & physical levels
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data solutions
• Thorough understanding of data architecture and modeling; proven experience to elicit requirements and develop constructs in conceptual and logical data models to support business
• 10 + years working with multiple DBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.), Java, C#
• Experience with data manipulation and statistical analyses / model development – SQL, R, Python
• Data Science and analytics experience such as Machine Learning and Semantic Search a plus
• Familiarity with big data including structured and unstructured data formats
• Familiarity with Epic Clarity data models, or other clinical or financial data systems
• Experience with data visualization – Tableau, Power BI
• Assertive (yet diplomatic) personality and the ability to handle change; excellent written & oral communication
• Strong consultative, presentation and conceptualization skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)

Preferred Criteria
• Degree or major in Computer Science
• Masters Degree

$145,500-$197,000/Annual
