Job Summary:

The Senior Program Manager will foster and maintain strategic, long-term partnerships with select key Clients by ensuring continued successful execution to meet their clinical and commercial needs. This individual collaborates closely with the Commercial Key Account Manager and serves as the primary point of contact for management of already established contracts and project/program execution.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee all programs and projects within established complex accounts to drive successful planning, execution, release, and closure of projects
• Nurture and strengthen strategic client relationships, including navigating client conflict, to establish trust and foster a collaborative partnership at all levels of the client organization
• Serve as the lead for internal project teams to drive alignment at all levels of the organization in support of key Clients
• Mentor and support internal project team members to drive professional growth while ensuring we provide excellent client service and meet or exceed account KPIs
• Mentor and develop Associate Project Managers as matrix reports to drive personal and professional growth while ensuring project execution is tracking with agreed-upon metrics, expected outcomes, and client expectations
• Work collaboratively with client and internal stakeholders to define project metrics and ensure consistent on-time and on-budget completion of key milestones, action items, and project deliverables, to meet or exceed KPIs
• Establish and maintain program governance including providing routine reports to senior leadership on partnership status, risks, and opportunities
• Closely track and forecast collective project timelines, managing capacity forecasts, provide team with early warnings, proactively identify barriers, and implement sustainable solutions
• Travel to client sites and host and manage clients on-site for face-to-face meetings
• Coordinate and drive meetings, assemble agendas, capture minutes, and identify, appropriately disseminate, and ensure timely completion of actions items
• Write detailed business proposals meeting client technical and pricing requirements and expectations with support from internal stakeholders
• Lead or support agreement renewals and negotiations as necessary through internal collaboration
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client’s pipeline of existing and incoming projects, working with Commercial Account Manager to establish and execute account strategy
• Contribute to and lead continuous improvement efforts that drive account-specific, Program Management, and organization growth

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role as a project, program, or account manager within the life sciences, with 3+ years in a CDMO environment
• Experience managing projects and contracts in a regulated biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device related field required
• Previous people leadership experience preferred
• Advanced degree in scientific field required (e.g. molecular biology, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry)

This position requires 25% travel
