Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Structural Director to be based out of our New York City office.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide engineering technical and management leadership for the Bridge Structural team.
Make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Candidate will initiate and maintain extensive contacts with senior- level engineers within the company and with key engineering officials at various agencies and authorities.
Candidate will utilize relativity, foresight, and senior engineering judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual engineering problems.
Determine program objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects, and develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
Responsible for overseeing project budgets and quality of deliverables.
Collaborate on senior-level professional team to attract additional talent, resources, continued strengthening and increasing capabilities of the structural team.
Will lead by example and provide guidance that will develop future leadership by mentoring and coaching members of the team.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• BA/BS + 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Highly effective and technically competent in structural engineering design and project development.
• Excellent communication skills, persuasion skills and, negotiation of critical issues.
• 20 years of related experience.
• Must have NY Metro Agency and Client Experience for Structural Transportation Related Projects.
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of AASHTO as well as various DOT standards and PANYNJ standards.

Offered rate of compensation (NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $200,000-$250,000.
