Job Description

The Loans Operations teams support all lending activity for Corporate and Commercial clients of the bank across North America, Latin America, EMEA and Asia. The Loan IQ Ops Readiness lead will be responsible for understanding and supporting the transformation efforts across Loan Operations driven by the implementation of the a new commercial banking lending system – Loan IQ.

This role will require thorough understanding of strategic direction of the lending business as the organization transitions from the historical Flexcube processing environment to the Loan IQ platform. Specifically, the position requires the ability to understand how that transition relates to the Operations team’s ability to support business strategy and growth through a system transition, while designing and building new operational, risk and control processes.

This person will be responsible for the design and execution of numerous operations implementation efforts such as integration with front office systems, buildout of loan trading programs, new process and procedures across all operational requirements, and integration with tech teams as new functions are built and tested. They will have to develop strong working partnerships across operations functional areas, with business leads, and with numerous technology teams to effectively manage and support the Loans Operations transformation.

Excellent influencing and communication skills required in order to negotiate internally across the business and with technology partners, often at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

Identify and implement changes across Global Loan Operations necessary to transition to the Loan IQ system:
• Oversee requirement for STP and automation with upstream systems and teams
• Work between Loan Operations staff and Technology teams in converting loans from Flexcube to Loan IQ. Build approach and tracking mechanisms for conversion and be a active member of the Conversion Working Group
• Coordinate all new operations requirements by ensuring they are appropriately documented and signed off.
• Support UAT processes – often hands-on
• Partner with Accounting and Control and finance teams to build out a new, upgraded financial and regulatory control environment
• Support Operations team in moving forward with a future state reporting strategy – and in ensuring necessary, complete reporting is available from Loan IQ
• Proactively manage changes that impact project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans when necessary.
• Prepare status reporting to senior management on progress across all Loans Operations teams in moving from Flex to Loan IQ
• Support and ensure a transparent training strategy is executed across all Loan Operations teams – in partnership with the Global Loans Training organization

Qualifications

10-15 years relevant experience in financial services or similar industry

Loan IQ operations or technology implementation experience is required

Proven track record in application implementation and system integration across multiple platforms. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is key

Background and/or exposure to financial operations processes

Strong analysis and documentation skills

Project and program management experience a plus

Strong oral and written communicator

Demonstrated ability to assess complex issues, structure potential solutions, and drive to resolution with operations staff and senior stakeholders.

Team player with strong influencing and partnering skills who can handle strong personalities at all levels of the company

Track record of managing work to achieve milestones on time and within budget in a high-pressure environment

· Analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal and follow up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

· Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and industry standard project management tools.

Finance, Business Administration or Engineering bachelor’s degree preferred
