Your New Role…
The Warner Bros Discovery DTC Research team aims to be trusted thought partners for our unique businesses through a lens that is unbiased and unfiltered. We objectively translate consumer voices to help make strategic business objectives and decisions.
The team is looking for a Director, Research, to be a part of the DTC Research Tracking team. The Director will implement and guide the direction of market research studies that track the success and health of the DTC business (with a focus on Brand, Customer Satisfaction and UX). This role will largely focus on the U.S. market but will work closely with the Global extension of this broader team and will create combined deliverables. They should be highly skilled and comfortable across research methodologies (especially quantitative) have a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think strategically and be a strong presenter.
Your Role Accountabilities…
The Director will manage a suite of Tracking studies (Brand, Consumer Funnel, and UX) and Customer Service (CSAT) research for MAX and discovery+.
They will lead a team of two and work closely with stakeholders and Research colleagues to understand top business issues to ensure appropriate research is being conducted to provide consumer insights and surveys & findings are appropriately reflective of business issues.
• Strong ability to synthesize and present findings from multiple work streams into strategic implications is needed, as well as strong leadership skills to be able to manage numerous projects at once.
• Meet with client groups to determine business issues, assess information needs and determine research priorities.
• Proactively design studies and reporting, including quick turn-around weekly deliverables.
• Lead the research study process including vendor relationships, timelines, analytic plans, questionnaire development, analysis and deliverables.
• Evaluate and summarize research results; develop insightful and actionable recommendations and present findings.
• Present research to stakeholders in a story-telling approach with concise and actionable findings and implications.
• Partner with Data Science to cross survey-based data with internal data sources for holistic results.
• Manage, develop and support assigned staff of two.
• Build and establish strong relationships internally & externally.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous entertainment or streaming video experience preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of primary consumer market research experience, with a focus on quantitative
• Prior experience developing and managing tracking research, particularly brand and customer satisfaction research.
• Strong knowledge of a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability
• Ability to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analyses and recommendations.
• Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels, exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail; strong project management skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to adapt to changing and growing environment.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism and strong commitment to quality and accuracy
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software tools (e.g. SPSS, Q)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skillset, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $112,003.00 – $208,005.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
