In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you’ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems is looking for a Test Engineering Lead to join our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization in our Greenlawn, NY location. The ITE organization’s mission is to deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions, which are integrated, across all levels of test. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.

As a Test Engineering Lead, your job responsibilities may include:
• Leading members of an ITE team in developing test solutions in all phases of a project, inclusive of managing, assisting and mentoring
• Working with Production Test personnel to continuously improve our test solutions and resolve any issues
• Oversight of test equipment subcontractors
• Formulating and executing a program test strategy
• Creating a program baseline plan and monitoring cost, schedule and technical performance against the plan
• Incorporating changes when early warning metrics indicate program performance is not meeting requirements; these changes may include personnel, test strategy, design architecture, program structure, process, etc.
• Participating in program reviews with project leadership
• Supporting bid and proposal efforts which identify and quantify appropriate assumptions, risks and opportunities in order to assure complete test solutions

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• In-depth knowledge of project management
• Prior success leading teams and managing projects with minimal oversight
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with cost estimating and creating proposals, business plans, schedules
• BS Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of work experience, or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Understanding of government contract requirements and reviews (CDR, PDR, TRR, ITAR, etc.)
• Familiar with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Management
• Experience with test solution hardware and software development and integration

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $134040 – $227880

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
