We need your talent, motivation, and vision as a Software Engineering Intern to join our Long Island team. We are actively seeking college students who are pursuing a software-related degree and have a passion for learning new things who can apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. BAE Systems in Greenlawn, NY has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of both on-site and virtual to support the program assigned.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other scientific degree with strong software content.
• Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software.
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Secret clearance in the future
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred:
• Demonstrated proficiency in a high level software language such as Java, C++, C, or Python
• Coursework or other experience in embedded software development.
• Working knowledge of software tools such as Jira, BitBucket, Integrated Development Environments, Operating Systems etc.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48070 – $64905
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
