About the Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Ad Product Manager, you will:
• Own the ad product roadmap for Reuters.com, the Reuters mobile app, and our digital news partnerships, in close collaboration with your product management colleagues, our revenue operations, digital sales and business development teams.
• Drive monetization opportunities that unlock the value of our market-leading news platform, mobile application, and news partnerships to drive revenue.
• Be responsible for the advertiser experience and the user ad experience.
• Develop a deep understanding of client needs and translate these into business opportunities and product requirements.

Job Description
• Own the sales ad project roadmap from ideation to product rollout by identifying market trends, working with cross-functional teams to build new commercial opportunities, articulate their value to our sales team and clients, test, build, iterate and track progress against key KPIs
• Provide leadership to identify new ad products, enhance current ad products and communicate the importance of revenue-generating projects across the organization
• Partner cross-functionally with your Product colleagues, Sales Planning, and Media Operations to commercialize products and own ROI analysis.
• Execute solutions with the Product and Engineering teams.
• Track performance to measure success. Determine metrics of success for each product, analyze KPIs to drive decisions and action.
• Track the evolving data monetization landscape: competitors, trends, opportunities.
• Take a systematic, data-driven approach to problems and opportunities.

The Day-to-Day:
• Collaborate inter-departmentally with Sales, Sales Development, Product, Engineering, Research and Analytics to effectively communicate ad products, requirements, needs, and value.
• Lead relationships with ad tech vendors
• Participate in external and internal sales meetings and calls as the ad product expert
• Drive product initiatives ensuring timely delivery within budget and foster effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Forecast weekly product revenue.
• Provide weekly updates to internal clients and monitor product performance against goals and budgets.
• Run A/B experiments to test or optimize revenue ideas, ensuring the project achieves overall goals, meets the needs of clients and our users.
• Create and prioritize a product backlog proposing new ad opportunities to sales & product, evaluating ways to monetize new product features.
• Stay abreast of industry, competitive, and consumer trends to help inform new features and functionality.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Senior Ad Product Manager if you:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering (any) or a related field with an information technology focus
• Have 5+ years of product management experience, ideally the digital consumer media industry, including mobile applications and video product experience
• Proven experience with ad technologies and solid knowledge of the larger digital advertising ecosystem. This must include a minimum of 2 years of experience in: developing and enhancing Big Data systems and DMP technologies; supporting DSPs (demand-side platforms), SSPs (supply-side platforms); Ad Exchanges (technology platforms), Ad Servers (campaign management platforms), and Cookies (small text files exchanged between a user’s computer and a web server to identify specific users); and developing and supporting DMPs (data management platforms, including eXelate DMP/Daas platform).
• Strong planning skills; highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize requests from multiple teams for a variety of needs

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $125,500 – $233,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
