This is a rare opportunity to build new business from some of the world’s largest companies for a well-established and respected news brand diversifying its revenue streams. The Strategic Account Manager will be focused on maximizing commercial opportunities with major technology platforms and telecommunications accounts. In this role, you will act as the Account Lead, coordinating all outreach and revenue management within a named set of accounts in these industry sectors. As such, you will be empowered to leverage internal teams and products across several Reuters’ business units to close new business, including content licensing, revenue share partnerships, co-marketing alliances, as well as bespoke services. The growth potential in this book of business is significant, and therefore this role is highly visible to Executive Leadership at Reuters.

The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the customers’ needs, their business models and end users in order to identify growth opportunities for both of our businesses.

About The Role

In this opportunity as a Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts, you will:
• Develop strong partnerships with key customers, ensuring complete understanding of their needs and those of their end users
• Create new commercial opportunities by providing solutions from the breadth of Reuters media solutions and products
• Own and drive the sales cycle from prospecting to proposal to negotiation
• Utilize relevant metrics and insight to monitor progress and take action
• Develop senior level customer relationships to become a trusted business advisor
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal cross-functions including Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Editorial

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts if your background includes:
• 7+ years of demonstrated success in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships or B2B Consultative Sales roles
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive contracts
• Proven experience in developing business solutions that have significant, direct revenue impact
• Previous experience working with major technology platform and telecommunication companies is a plus
• Experience in building cross-functional and strategic relationships
• Ability to think creatively and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to analyze data to translate insights into better sales planning and solutions
• Excellent presentation skills
• Passion for quality journalism

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $200,200 – $371,800. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $182,000 – $338,000. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
