The Power and Energy Transition team is actively seeking a Vice president / Senior Associate who will be responsible for supporting senior investment bankers in execution of M&A, capital markets and financing from a sector perspective, as well as supporting in deal origination and relationship management.

Energy Transition:
• The group’s energy transition activities are primarily centered around decarbonization, digitalization and decentralization of the energy and power value chains.
• An Ideal candidate would be excited about the Energy Transition Space (Wind, Solar, Batteries, Renewable Fuels, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen), where BofA is a clear leader, substantially ahead of competitors
• Significant room to drive client coverage and execution of marquee transactions: lots of initiative required
• Opportunities across all the major IBK product lines: IPO, M&A, Private Capital as well as interaction with Global Sustainable Finance

Job Responsibilities:
• Support the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates for large-cap corporate clients in the power and energy transition sector, such as: buy and sell-side M&A, inclusive of cross border transactions, as well as capital markets processes, including debt and equity offerings.
• Prepare materials for clients and participate in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution.
• Draft and negotiate engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other documents related to investment banking transactions.
• Attend and oversee client meetings with prospective buyers in sell-side M&A processes, including management presentations and due diligence.
• Support internal transaction and capital commitment committee processes such as Fairness Committee, Equity Commitment Committee and Leveraged Finance Committee including credit and risk committee processes.
• Execute investment banking transactions and processes in a global firm environment, including both M&A and capital markets products.
• Prepare financial analysis, including detailed valuation analysis, such as: LBO analysis, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, IPO pro forma analysis, comparative company analysis, and sum of parts analysis.
• Conduct due diligence in connection with investment banking transactions.
• Prepare materials for clients and participating in client meetings during the course of investment banking deal origination and execution.
• Lead teams of junior investment bankers to execute transactions, prepare client materials, and manage transaction processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 3 years of experience as an associate with global bank/bulge bracket investment banking transactions in the job offered or a related Finance occupation and a strong preference for a master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or related

Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:
• Executing investment banking transactions and processes in a global firm environment, including both M&A and capital markets products.
• Preparing financial analysis, including detailed valuation analysis, such as: LBO analysis, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, IPO pro forma analysis, comparative company analysis, and sum of parts analysis.
• Conducting due diligence in connection with investment banking transactions.
• Preparing materials for clients and participating in client meetings during investment banking deal origination and execution; and,
• Leading teams of junior investment bankers to execute transactions, prepare client materials, and manage transaction processes.
• In the alternative, the employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in a stated field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Domestic and international travel, as necessary
