The Role
As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a ValuMetrix Senior Consultant for our ValuMetrix team. The Senior Consultant is an individual contributor who is responsible for the entire client consulting relationship. This is a remote based position and is geographically flexible to candidates across the US.
The Responsibilities
• Team leader for targeted solutions sales and assigned client Process Excellence assessments and engagements.
• Develop solutions with a primary focus on LEAN, in potential customer facilities (healthcare institutions). These Process Excellence engagements are driven from VAS automation and Transfusion Medicine product sales opportunities.
• Own and be accountable for the ValuMetrix customer relationship, for both VAS and VISION sales opportunities.
• Ability to work at all organizational levels up to and including the executive suite.
• Possess the necessary skills to influence executive leadership and craft proposals that influence organizational outcomes and create strategic partnering relationships.
• Negotiation skills are required to deliver a win for both customer and Ortho
• Must possess all the skills necessary to conduct workflow analysis, design layouts and develop strategic partnering both internally and with customers.
• Delivery of presentations for potential customers
• Support sales efforts through P3 and layout design efforts
• Monitors, tracks and periodically reports on implemented VAS efficiencies and customer satisfaction
• Support the development of publications and presentations to promote awareness, differentiation, the value of the ValuMetrix’s team
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of LEAN experience
• Experience in the healthcare industry is required
• Must have demonstrated cross functional leadership experience
• Skilled in lean methodologies, change management, and data analysis
• Ability to establish and cultivate executive relationships customers
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to expectations is key to the successful performance of this role
• Ability to play a leadership role in the development of new or enhanced service offerings that fit customer needs
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Access and Word) are necessary in this role
• Must have previous experience demonstrating strong presentation skills to be successful in this role
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate executive relationships and interface with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Must have a valid US driver’s license in good standing
• Travel: Up to 75% in the U.S. and Canada
Preferred:
• Major in medical and/or nursing, healthcare technology, related science or engineeringIn-vitro diagnostics
• Healthcare Consulting with multiple cycles of implementation that met or exceeded client expectations and contract deliverables.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• People management
• Exposure to commercial/sales
The Key Working Relationships
Internal Partners:
• Sales: Area Sales Directors, Account Managers, Strategic Account Executives, Business Development Managers, Channel Sales Managers
• Technical Specialists, Field Application Specialists, Area Technical Specialists, Technical Support Specialists
• Interacts with other aspects of the organization as required (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Customer Service, etc.)
External Partners:
• Customers including but not limited to Laboratory Managers, Supervisors.
The Work Environment
Typical outside field based environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills and self-motivation to work autonomously in a home office environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally required to reach, climb, or balance. Must be physically able to travel up to 75%. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and must maintain an automobile suitable for travel to customer sites, airport, etc. Travel includes airplane, train, automobile, and overnights. On a typical workday, 80% of time meeting with people, 20% of the time on computer, doing paperwork, or on phone. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $144,000 and is and is eligible for incentive compensation. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
