POSITION SUMMARY

Our Delivery Professionals are the face of our company and the key representative to our customers. This is a PART – TIME Delivery Professional position for our Brooklyn, NY Distribution Center..

Matthews International is a leading Manufacturer and Distributor of Caskets for the funeral industry and this position will be responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area.

Our Delivery Professionals can expect to work a First Shift, home every afternoon. Our Delivery Drivers can expect to work 25 – 29 hours per week with a starting hourly pay rate of $18.50.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Delivering memorialization products (new caskets ) to funeral homes in a company provided truck or van.
• Responsible for delivery and warehouse duties as needed.
• Provide customer service with a smile to our customers.
• NO CDL License is required.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Previous driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work a first shift as well as being available to work weekends when needed.
• Must have current driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
