We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

• Applies knowledge of engineering principles, materials and production methods to design products and components.

• May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.

• Create product specifications, standards, test reports, safety warnings, assembly instructions and product manuals.

• Participates in assessment of competitive products.

• Creates solutions for engineering challenges.

• Collaborates with all members of the team in the above.

Competencies and skills

Education & Experience

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field, or Technical Degree in related fields.

• 3-5 years’ experience in applying design and engineering knowledge on industrial products.

Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity with a range of production materials and processes with emphasis on metals and plastics

• Proven success in analyzing and executing complex mechanical engineering challenges

• Self-motivated to work smart in a fast pace changing environment with cross functional teams.

• Use of common CAD software packages

• Knowledge of regulations and standards such as: OSHA, ANSI, NEC, NSF, UL/ETL, BIFMA, etc.

Travel

• Up to 15%; domestic (assuming no covid restrictions)
